Quarter Mile Legends Awards

The Quarter Mile Legends Awards honours racers running unblown, naturally aspirated Dragsters, Altereds, Sedans and Bikes from 1960 to 1985.

The awards, now in their second year, salutes the racers from Street, Stock, Altered, Gas and later Comp., Modified and Super Stock.

These guys raced in fully subscribed brackets where the first half of the field would be on or under the national record at any big meeting.

This is where the super tough little guy racer lived and some of Australia's greatest racer's have run in these brackets.

Last year (2014) the Quarter Mile Legends honoured some of Australia's absolute stars: guys like "Big Ed"Stipanovich from NSW, Chris Mills from WA, Peter Clarke from Victoria, Brian Hutchesson from South Australia and George Wegener from Qld.

Chances are if you pulled into the staging lanes next to any of these guys, your day was going to finish very early.
