Wall’s Family AA/FA
The Walls family have recently landed there U.S. Fuel Altered, which was campaigned by Bob and Jim Hensel in California, see specs on car underneath.
This is the story from Col that accompanied the photos of the car.
Bob Hensel was a founder of the Juggers Racing Car Club in 1953. It is one of the oldest clubs still operating in the US. Bob and Jim Hensel were FUEL friends in the 50's, Bob was one of the influences on Rich Guasco (Pure Hell) switching from Chevy to Hemi. Bob Hensel is 76 yo and last raced this car when he was 71. He is a true gentleman, and the only race engine for Bob is a Hemi, Blown and on Fuel. Bob had a gap from racing from the 60's to the 80's as we understand it as his home was blown away with him in it by a gas pipeline explosion in 2010, and he is very lucky to be alive. Bob sold the car because he couldn't keep up the maintenance, not because he couldn't drive anymore, He ran NE1 which is a 7.60 bracket, but has run 7.22@185 in this car. The car will make it's Aussie debut at the November Rocket Open Day and the following Judgement Day meet. My intentions are to run the 392's that I have, hopefully without hurting them, until I can upgrade to a Donovan. I love Fuel Altereds and hopefully can promote them with the ANFA. I will also be static displaying the car at several shows between now and November, and in the near future hope to tow it around the rural car shows showing and cackling, to promote Nostalgia Fuel.
This is one dedicated team who just lives and breathes Fuel Altereds.
